Many years ago I was involved briefly in the poetry scene in Melbourne, self-publishing an early collection of poems called 'The Flowers of Impotence' in 1983 and then having a chapbook called 'Cavafy’s Room' published by Nosukumo Press out of Labassa in Caulfield in 1987. I have also taught overseas for the ISTEK Vakfi in Istanbul, Turkey, and the Amman Baccalaureate School in Jordan.
